What is GLP-1 and Why Activate it?

Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is  a hormone our body makes to delay digestion, regulates blood sugar, appetite, and  digestion. It's produced by the small intestine. It stimulates insulin secretion, slowing gastric emptying, inhibiting food intake, decreasing inflation, cardio and neuoprotective effect.  When effective treats diabetes, obesity, neurodegenerative disorders.  ((GLP-1)

Synthetic options on the market, Ozempic, Wogovy, Semaglutide, all come with side-effects.

Now there is a way to activate our GLP-1, as our body’s are designed to do, this is worth knowing about, Positive results in GLP-1 Activation Study.

A friend and health researcher, Renee Parker, and I did a Q&A on this What is GLP-1 and Why Activate It?.

Cognitive Decline and is there a comeback?

Cognitive decline, is it s slippery slope, or is there hope for a comeback?

Memory lapses, struggling with speaking, difficult understanding conversations, getting lost in familiar places. Perhaps you or your loved ones are experiencing some challenges. Mayo Clinic, sites aging, disease conditions, brain injuries, alcohol, drugs, air pollutions, lack of sleep and the list goes on, there is no single cause for cognitive decline, https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/mild-cognitive-impairment/symptoms-causes/syc-20354578

Science tells us that sickness, disease, aging, is due to oxidative stress, let's explore. There are over 5000 articles at the national library of medicine, citing cognitive decline + oxidative stress.   Researchers believe oxidative stress plays a role in the onset of many chronic and degenerative conditions. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/oxidative-stress

Cleveland Clinic says Oxidative stress is an imbalance between two different types of molecules in your body: free radicals and antioxidants. Specifically, it means there are too many free radicals and not enough antioxidants. As a result, the excess free radicals start to harm your body’s cells and tissues. They damage the different parts of cells, including lipids (fats) and proteins, that allow them to work normally.

The question is how DO we curb disease, slow down memory loss and aging? The quick answer is: Rid our cells of oxidative stress by exercise, reducing toxins, getting better sleep, eating healthier, yes yes yes, however even with all the good anti-oxidant foods you only reduce high free radicals 1:1.  Enter activation products!  Through the leading International activation company, with a patent formula on the synergistic blend of 5 herbs, and over 28 peer reviewed studies by research labs and universities who validate this, you can activate your body to make it's own anti-oxidants to reduce the high free radicals at rate of 1M/second every second, thus reducing oxidative stress by 40% in 30 days and 70% in 120 days.

Learn more with us Sunday night September 29th, 7pm CST on zoom about activation and cognitive decline and is there a comeback?  After the zoom there is  Q&A with the speaker.

See our Learn More Tab for the September 29th topic, speaker and Zoom link.

Take Control of your own health

In MN, the  top 10 Leading Causes of Death are:

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/states/minnesota/mn.htm

So what does take control of your own health mean, and what actually works?  How many times have we started a new diet or hit the gym more, and our goals of weight loss or disease reduction didn't change the barometer much and we felt like giving up?  What about us women in the menopause era, hormones seem all out of wake for years?  What should we do first, drink more water, take longer walks, hit the weights more, eat less carbs and more protein?  At times it may feel like we're on a merry-go-round, with no solution in site!  Until...

Activation.  What if you learned that activating your body to do what it's designed to do in making enough antioxidants to fight off free radicals? What if changing the landscape of health through activation slows down sickness and disease? Is there hope for mental, emotional and physical issues to turn around for the better?  When over 300 illnesses are due to high oxidative stress, reducing this is key to longevity and health. Is it done by eating all the right things and proper exercise, well that helps, but it's enough with todays toxics and lifestyle.

What if there was a patent blend of all natural herbs that was so powerful it reduced high free radicals by 40% if 30 days and 70% in 120 days, what if there was a patent on liquid collagen to activate your body to make its own, what about a patent on a GLP-1 to activate your body to make it's own!...come learn more!

Learn more with me, Thurs Aug 28th, 7pm cst, on zoom, text 612-385-1870 to RSVP for link.

Transform your life one cell at a time

Change you life, one cell at a time

For the past 40 years or so, oxidative stress has been increasingly recognized as a contributing factor in aging and in various forms of pathophysiology generally associated with aging. Our view of oxidative stress has been largely "superoxide-centric", as we focused on the pathological sources of this oxygen-derived free radical and the types of molecular havoc it can wreak, as well as on the protection provided by the antioxidant enzymes, especially the superoxide dismutases, catalases, and glutathione peroxidases. In the last decade our view of oxidative stress has broadened considerably, and it is now often seen as an imbalance that has its origins in our genes, and the ways in which gene expression is regulated. At the center of this new focus is the transcription factor called nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2, or Nrf2. Nrf2 is referred to as the "master regulator" of the antioxidant response, modulating the expression of hundreds of genes, including not only the familiar antioxidant enzymes, but large numbers of genes that control seemingly disparate processes such as immune and inflammatory responses, tissue remodeling and fibrosis, carcinogenesis and metastasis, and even cognitive dysfunction and addictive behavior.

Hope for Learning and Behavior Problems

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and in our next Learn More Session, on Thursday, May 23rd, 7pm CST, Health Counselor and Author of The Silent Take Over will be talking about Hope for the learning and behavior community.

Join us on zoom at 612-385-1870 password: Catalyst, hosted by Mary Akehurst

“He was fine when he was younger, but then around age nine or ten, things changed” For some families it’s like a freight train that’s going downhill full of cargo. A new protocol is established, but is only a temporary fix, until the another shoe drops, the child regresses with poor social skills, is hard to manage at home, gets caught up in addiction, drops out of school, gets involved in illegal activities, and the list goes on.  Peer pressure is huge and without healthy nurture starting in the family, and in collaboration with the school, the child’s self esteem is tender and can go either way.

Maybe you are a part of a family that can relate or is trying to prevent this from happening. Perhaps you’re addressing his emotional and spiritual growth, but still seeing the behaviors occurring.  Join us, for a hope-filled session, as Mrs. Sheppard shares what’s going on at the cellular level of students with learning and behavior issues. She’ll expand on how activating your survival genes and restore damaged DNA, can change not only the child’s life, but your whole families!

Articles of Interest for your own research. She'll touch on more in our session:

Hope for Heart Health

Relationship between mental disorders and heart disease

Patients with mental disorders, such as MDD and anxiety disorders, tend to have high levels of circulating catecholamines, a marker of sympathetic activation, causing increases in heart rate and blood pressure while at the same time decreasing coronary blood flow and increasing systemic vascular resistance.

Increased levels of inflammatory biomarkers [including interleukin (IL)-1 and IL-6 and C-reactive protein, (CRP)], predicting CVD and events, have been demonstrated for MDD (Major Depression Disorder), schizophrenia, and BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). Data suggests that antidepressant treatment tended to have a normalizing effect on the proinflammatory states seen in depression.   (www.ncbi.nlm.hih.gov.)

Inflammation and heart issues (perhaps some blood types more than other) can be related to mental health issues, age, diet, cholesterol, diabetes to name a few, all of which. So how do we reverse this? Is exercise and better food and sleep enough?

Join us on Thursday, April 25th, 7pm on zoom for our Learn More  session

Hope for Heart Health with Health Counselor & Author of Silent Take Over, Jacquelyn Sheppard.  See Learn More Tab for Zoom info.
