Cultivating a Heart of Gratitude and saying it outload.
Thanks. Thank you. I'm grateful. I appreciate you. Expressing gratitude is beyond a Thursday in November, in fact it improves overall health. Research has shown that consciously practicing gratitude can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. In fact, studies have found that a single act of thoughtful gratitude produces an immediate 10% increase in happiness, and a 35% reduction in depressive symptoms. Expressing Gratitude Helps! It can also enhancing sleep quality, boosting your immune system, and positively impacting your overall mood and well-being, leading to better health overall.
When we express gratitude and receive the same, our brain releases dopamine and serotonin, the two crucial neurotransmitters responsible for our emotions, and they make us feel ‘good’. They enhance our mood immediately, making us feel happy from the inside. By consciously practicing gratitude everyday, we can help these neural pathways to strengthen themselves and ultimately create a permanent grateful and positive nature within ourselves.
As we gather with families and friends this month, let's remember to express words of gratitude to those around us. They will hear our gratitude and it will affect their health for the better, as well as ours. Sharing a heart of gratitude with others can improve our relationships, sleep, mental health, physical health and spiritual health. It also recognizes the divine presence and guidance of God in our lives, "Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones" (Proverbs 16:24)
